After many, many months of hard work by the committee and task force, eee19 has now begun! I had a quick chat with Sofia Livman and Jakob Palerius, who now can see the end of their journey as project leaders of eee2019.

Hello Sofia and Jakob! How excited are you for the fair?

Sofia: We are super excited, it feels really, really good! Everything has gone very smoothly, which we are very happy about. Almost too smoothly! But it also feels kind of sad that it soon will be over

Will you take some time to enjoy the fair or will you be running around doing stuff all the time?

Sofia: No, we will definitely be enjoying the fair the entire time! We have full confidence in our team and they know exactly what they shall do, so it feels really, really good!

Amazing. This year, you are celebrating the 35th jubilee of eee. Will there be anything special at the fair highlighting the jubilee?

Sofia and Jakob: We forgot about it! No, but have lots of fun things, a surprise at pytten and also a memory room in EC2, which is basically a room where you can see lots of old newspaper articles and old eeebooks, stories of old committee members in which they tell how they feel about the eeefair, and old sponsors, from as far back as 1991!

Last question: what do you look forward to the most?

Jakob: The lectures: I plan to attend every single one of them… although I haven’t registered for any. We will see how that goes, but if I won’t be let in, I’ll just have to stand outside the door to Craafordsalen and try to hear something.

Thank you for taking your time, Jakob and Sofia! The best of luck to you and your team during the two days to come, and the best of luck to those of you who are going to explore, engage and evolve at eee2019. Go get that dream job!

Even though it might not seem like it now, summer is creeping up again. That means one thing: I have to start applying for summer jobs.
